Annette Bell-Lockett was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin when she was five. She was born into a family of preachers, missionaries, evangelists, and psalmists who recognized her uniqueness at an early age.
While working as a certified nursing assistant, she proceeded to further her studies. As a single mother of two sons, she was always encouraged by her family to further her education and to become anything she aspired to be. As she enrolled in college, tragedy struck in one of the most unimaginable ways. She was hit by a drunk driver, causing her to lose some physical and mental abilities. This accident was predicted to eliminate her chances of having any more children. Nonetheless, her second son was born several months later. Her healing process was very challenging but she kept her faith and was soon triumphant.
Later in life, Annette was tragically forced to jump from a 3rd story building. She was running for her life from an assailant when she came face to face with no other option; she had to jump. The “Fall” violently shook her faith, her identity, and her mind. However, through it all, the “Fall” didn’t steal her will to hope; therefore, her faith didn’t fail her. The “Fall” also allowed her to begin living all over again, step by step, as she relearned how to walk.
Through all life’s struggles, conflicts, and defeats, Annette Bell- Lockett is a survivor. God gave her strength to overcome many adversities. Annette was able to use that power as an empowerment to prevail above and beyond all oppositions.
Annette Bell-Lockett is a living, breathing, and grateful testimony. Annette is currently pursuing and completing a series of five books, featuring No Longer Bound as her primary. Annette passionately believes this book will heal and help people understand that troubles DON’T last always. Annette wishes that her readers will begin to understand that with GOD, you can overcome drugs, alcohol, ungodly soul ties, and adversity.
Today, Annette is living a clean and sober life. She serves as a servant, teacher, and evangelist for the Kingdom’s sake, living her life daily in hopes of pleasing God. Her initial goal in her pursuit of survival is to succeed and be who she was destined to be. Annette looks forward to living out her purpose in God!
